Every now and then, people ask me what Sheree the blogger does in her Second Life when she’s not off exploring across the grid for my next article so I thought, “Why not blog a day in my Second Life”.
So here it goes. A day in the life of Sheree. One of them anyway. It changes from day to day.
After crawling out of my warm comfy bed, I started the day off with a delicious bagel and coffee for breakfast as I read the morning paper where I wore my ‘people are freaking weird’ face on as caffeine spread through my body. If you want to know the best part of the newspaper, it’s the comics page.
I do love where I live. My home is located in the East River Community located on the Sansara continent which is in my view, the best continent. I couldn’t ask for a better location than where my home is with a river view in all directions. How many of us can say they have a view of the river as they shower?
I do need to be looking my best for the day but a shower is only one part and no, I’m not going to show you painting my face.
Before I head out into the world, I believe that it is important that we remain connected to nature as much as we are able to, and to respect her.
As I said before, I love my home. There’s aren’t many places better than this. The fresh river air, the sounds of morning birds and just relaxing as you soak up all of this beautiful world around us.
And there’s Fred the snake curled around the tree on my left come to say hello me.
There are several forms of transport I access from my home at East River. I can ride a train, drive the road system, access one of two airports or travel by boat. Today I chose to fly to Bay City to check in on one of my social points, Cafe Sheree so why not just fly from home to the Bay City Airport?
Wow, what a smooth flight that was from East River to Bay City. I flew near the the coldest regions in Second Life which is always covered in snow. So glad my plane was warm.
After a smooth landing it’s time to drive to Cafe Sheree to pat the kitties and make sure everything is there for guests to access like pizza and drinks in the fridge, fresh stocks of coffee bean, ice cream and other yummy treats.
Bay City local, Frankie Lindman who dropped in for a chat over coffee. I have not seen many people in Bay City or elsewhere as I laid low during the December and January period so I was happy when Frankie stopped by.
Frankie owns the Silver King Grill at Bay City which use to be a short walk from my cafe however his business moved during the holiday so Frankie drove me to Bay City – Dennis so I could have a look at the new location.
With bopping music beating out through speakers, I quickly changed before dancing with Frankie. He’s a pretty good dancer. He must be to get my five left feet to coordinate as one of each foot. We had a lot of fun dancing to song of the era.
Then it was time for a change of pace.
The waves were calling me as I needed that sea breeze and warm sun so I traveled to Bare Sun Little Paradise for a cocktail and to relax as I read one of my favourite kitchen book, 50 Ways to Cook Men with Red Wine and other appetisers. I had a lovely chat with another sunbather nearby.
Bare Sun Little Paradise is a nudist beach for women only.
Then I remembered that I was supposed to buy something to cook for dinner but all the stores were closed and I didn’t want to order fatty foods. That was when I decided to travel to another beach to catch dinner.
Abby is the main fisher but I thought I would hunt down some yummy fish to eat so I took stroll along the beach till I found my fishing spot at Island of the Insatiables.
I get home to find Abby already relaxing so after a cuddle and a glass of wine, we cooked dinner. That fish tasted so good. I think it was bream.
After a day of flying, driving, dancing, sunbathing and fishing, it was good to go home and relax with Abby over dinner and a movie. What a movie. I think Abby ate all the popcorn too.
And after a busy day for both of us busy in our lives, it was time for bed to prepare for another busy Second Life day.
There is so much for us to do and what a day I had. It’s good to snuggle up with Abby and drift off to sleep.
And with that…
