Transgender Remembrance Day 2017

Today I attended the International LGBT Center & Museum for Transgender Remembrance Day which was lead by Nicolette.

Held three times during the day so people from across the world could attend either of the scheduled programs, this was a solemn event as the names and details of their death were read out so they are remembered.

The following names and the details of their deaths were read out at the remembrance event.

A Total of 307 Transgendered people lost there lives this year. to murder. The numbers always rise as we move into the next year. The United states officially capped out at 25 trans people but as shown I expect that number to reach or possible surpass 29. Keep your thoughts on all of the lives impacted by their loss.

There is far too much hate given permission to be expressed as freedom of speech and as religious values. This should not ever be tolerated. Only by standing together and loving one another for who we are, can we overcome this hatred.

I am an ally of transgender people. You have my love and respect.

In days of a rise of homophobic violence with a return of extremism of the religious right and what seems like permission to express hateful ideologies, it is important now than ever that there are resources for every person who identifies as LGBTQI.

I found the LGBT International Resources Center and Museum in Second Life’s destination guide which I am grateful for. Not just so I could visit but so those who are in need resources can access them. This destination is particularly useful in that it is available in  the safe environment of Second Life where people can express themselves as who they really are, and get to meet similar people.

As you travel along your way, there are rainbow balls on the ground with information regarding where you are. Click them to read in your local chat.

The LGBT International Resources and Museum is a multi level platform with a teleport pad to navigate where you wish to go. The entry point is at the resource centre where there are seating areas, three televisions with information playing and other information pinned on the walls.

History Walk

History Walk takes you on a walk on American LGBTQI history including Stonewall, the Rainbow House and Pulse night club. This walk will take you three levels by foot with plenty of interesting information.

The Transgender Memorial Statue To The Unknown

This memorial is dedicated to transgendered persons who were murdered for being transgender. Some people are listed as unknown.

Aspasia Art Garden

Take a walk through Aspasia Art Gallery to look at art on display. Many are for sale should you wish to have one in your collection. Maybe hanging on your wall at home or other location.

Museum

There is also a museum with real life people worth mentioning. I do not have a photo of the museum however they are included in the video embedded below. Take the time to look and read the information provided.

The LGBT International Resource Center & Museum is a destination I highly encourage everyone to take the time to visit and explore and learn. Not only for people who identify as LGBTQI but for those who are allies and everybody else to learn and understand so hopefully we can learn to get along with respect for one another.

Second Pride New Committee 2017-18

second pride logo

Following the highly successful Second Pride Event for 2017, today marks the day where a new committee took up their roles to take on the challenge of planning the 2018 Second Pride Event and all other roles which goes with their responsibilities.

Once outgoing Chair, Lledge Eames offered his respects, it was time for the newly elected Chair, Rez Starfall along with Mikey, Lee McKay and Cuppycake Cross to fill their seats on stage, straight into business and onto the very beginning of what I believe is going to be an exciting year ahead.

Right to Left: Rez Starfall(Chair), Mikey(Secretary), Lee McKay(IT Director), Cuppycake Cross(Events Director)

In support of the incoming Committee, there were a fair number of members present to welcome in the new committee. There are still some positions to fill though I don’t see this as a long term issue but a matter of positions filled as the Committee recruits.

I look forward to watching the new Committee grow into their new roles just as I’m sure they will receive support from members. I’m already twitching for next year’s Second Pride event.

Second Life & Transgender Bullying

It was a first date. She had been invited out on a date by a man who she had been flirting with for three or four months hoping to gain his attention. Then one day he asked her out on a date. Somewhere romantic.

With one final check on how she looked in the mirror as the sound of his knuckles rapped on the front, she answered her door, accepted his flowers which she quickly put in a vase and left with him. Her heart was pounding as the man of her desires was taking her out somewhere romantic. He never said where they are going. Only that it was going to be a surprise.

She never made it for dinner.

One quick stop along the way where three other men got in the car with her made to sit in the backseat between two men who started to violate her as the car sped off somewhere. She did not know where she was going as her head was covered as hands forced themselves under her dress groping her.

Her head was uncovered somewhere. it was nowhere to her. She didn’t know where she was but she knew nobody would intrude on what was about to happen to her. Being spat on, punched, kicked, verbally abused, anally raped as they called her names like faggot, that this is what poofters deserve. Then when they were finished with her, they drove and dumped her covered in bruises, cuts and semen. She never reported it to the Police because then the Police would have charged her for her sexuality. Possibly further raped her.

What I wrote above is an air brushed recollection of what a transgender friend shared with her on a real life experience of hers. She shared her story with me on a bloodied violence assault on her for being transgender. I in turn shared with her a story of a bloodied violent assault against myself for being a gay woman.

So why do I bring this up?

The internet can do something to people where they release every vile element of their personality on the belief that it does not matter when it’s online as it’s not real. That nobody was hurt as it was all cyber. Pretend. More importantly, they’re cowards who hide behind a computer in the safety of their own homes.

I have been with Second Life for a little over three and a half years. In this time I have got to know many people who are both open and private about their transgender identity. Every single one of them are of character. Some of them remain quiet on their experiences while some are open. Some have never experienced any hate in Second Life for being who they are while others have.

I raise this here and now because I am sick to death of my friends being under constant attack for being who they are. Some I have said good bye to as the bullying against them drove them away from Second Life. The most recent friend who quit Second Life said that she had never experienced the level of hate against her in her real life compared to what she was experiencing in Second Life. It had become too much for her to cope with so she left.

There won’t be any blaming all this on Donald Trump from me because this hate has spread globally under the wisdom of religion. Has this seen an increase of such hatred in Second Life? I do not know. Donald Trump hasn’t helped at all with his consistent attacks on LGBTQI communities. Transgender people especially are under primary assault in the USA as racial and religious fascists march the streets offering Nazi worship for President Tiny Hands.

These bullies are people who only know how to persecute. They need people to experience suffering in a need to feed their empty vessels only to demand that they are the victims, not the people they’re hurting but them.

Society needs to embrace each other to face these bad people down. No amount of hugs will see them change their minds for after they have dealt with one group, they will turn on another and then another and then another until they are killing their own.

Some people do deserve to be left behind. They are those who segregate and persecute. I am tired of seeing people leave Second Life because some moral heterosexual people believe that they have the right to intimidate people into depression and possibly suicide.

I have been under fists and boots of hate. Many times I felt that long kitchen blade pressed against my skin waiting to push through to end the pain inflicted upon me. Just as many others have due to these assholes who exist only hurt others.

No more. Seriously, stop it.

Grow the fuck up.

Allow Second Life to be what it was meant to be. If you are unable to do this, then seek professional help for your mental health status because you need it.

Adult Destination: Lesbian Dollz’

Snapshot_049

There are many dance clubs in Second Life but this club is for us women who would like to dance and socialise among ourselves. While the name of this club is Lesbian Dollz’, it is not only for gay women. The following information is information on Lesbian Dollz’;

Lesbian Dolls’ ”where ladies of distinction meet”.

Warm welcome to all females – Lesbian, Straight, Bisexual, Domme, submissive and Trans m2f.

Female avi’s only.

Relax, meet up or just chat in the beautiful setting with soothing music and great company.

Dance floors, pools, bar, shops, hangout spaces.

Snapshot_004

About one week ago I logged on, waddled around my home a little then wondered what was happening in Second Life at the moment. Something fun. Something with dancing.

PING!

My notifications pings. One check and wow, it was the universe heard me and sent me just what I was in the mood for. A women’s only club and it was new. I threw on some dancing gear, painted my face and left for this new venues. I was feeling hopeful.

I arrive to one of the quickest rezzing venues I have ever visited. It was just there. Waiting for me to wiggle over to the dance floor to strut my stuff. It was new. They only just opened so there weren’t many people which was good for me as I didn’t feel like being around a large crowd.

I know. I can be picky.

Snapshot_010

I walk inside and wow, the aesthetics are pleasing to my tastes with a well presented foyer with beautiful artwork and mural which flourish throughout the venue. One beautiful woman, two beautiful women, three beautiful women…

Let’s just say that I felt at peace. Like finding one’s nirvana. What else could be here with such a sexy entrance?

Snapshot_013

I turn left and okay, my curiosity is answered by a bar with alcohol. A sleek bar located in the purrfect position for you ladies who like to take position and eye off the candy walking in through the door.

And more artwork. There are photos here to stop and just take in the beauty before making your way over to the dance floor where I spotted figures I love swinging and wiggling their hips to music expertly played by the purretty DJ Kitty Love who was cute as a peach.

The people there I spoke with were friendly, outgoing and helpful. It was just what I needed. To let my hair down to recharge my pixels. This is one club I insist you visit.

More about Lesbian Dollz’.

Lesbian Dollz’ now has three locations. Their latest is resides on a quarter sim at ground level. Lesbian Dollz’ also re-opened three months ago at their old location.

To celebrate the opening of their new location at Daemon Haven, Lesbian Dollz’ is throwing a party on Thursday, 7 September at 4pm SLT with a prize draw of L$2,000. There will be a pool party. Swim wear is optional.

At Lesbian Dollz’ there are three dance floors. One inside, one set up outside and an amphitheatre which reminds me of a strap on which suits me. Strapping fun.

There are also areas to sit and rest at a lounge and the stage to watch pole dancing. One has that retro look. And of course, you can sit at the bar to enjoy a few magic drops of your choice near the door to admire all the beautiful women as they arrive.

There’s also a pool, towels and poolside seats to chill. Maybe have some time with a friend, girlfriend or someone else. These are pg cuddle furniture as it’s not a cheap sex venue but a classy establishment where the sex isn’t cheap, it’s purring awesome from the sexy vibes.

As a submissive gay woman, I welcome venues that encourages women involved in lesbian BDSM and D/s relationships. This Lesbian Dollz’ location will be purrfect for us to meet up.

And please, if you are a heterosexual woman or you’re m2f, the door is welcome for you to. I highly recommend it. The staff here are awesome. The atmosphere is great. The pools is wonderful.

Madonna – The Virtual History Tour

“Second Pride and Madonna The Virtual History Tour are sponsoring a 4 hour benefit show to raise funds for the Rainbow Railroad. “Hundreds of gay men have been rounded up, imprisoned, tortured and murdered in Chechnya. Rainbow Railroad helps victims of State-sponsored violence escape.”

Snapshot_007
On Saturday, 22nd July at 1pmSLT, Second Pride and Madonna’s sponsored event to raise money for benefits of American Friends of Rainbow Railroad Inc.
Why?
To help in support of the gay community of Chechnya where there is systemic imprisonment, torture and murder for the crime of their LGBTQI status. Crimes committed by Chechen Authorities under orders of the Government and by relatives who are killing their own family members for their sexual status.
As our political and religious leaders guide the world to hate and division where we’re expected to fight one another, there has never been a time like today where love, peace and harmony between people has been needed for some decades. Not just against those of LGBTQI status but all of us.
As someone who has been the victim of a violent hate crime because of my sexuality in my early teenage years, it is heart breaking to see society called upon by our leaders to hurt each other once again and how easily people follow. Those of us who have been victims of hate crimes regardless of the hate crime know all too well where this path leads.
Snapshot_034
Yet out of this rubble of despair there is hope.
There is love. There is compassion. There is us. You and I.
Snapshot_041
An amazing team worked together to create a virtual world spectacular four hour performance with short breaks for scene and costume changes. Everything about Madonna’s Virtual History Tour was remarkable as scripting worked perfectly in sync with the music mix prepared by Madonna’s team. I have seen some impressive inworld performances in Second Life but nothing as breathtaking as this concert.
Snapshot_017
My personal taste in music has never included Madonna much even though I respect her and her music however the cooperative work between Madonna’s team and the concert team lead by Sasha Laryukov who took on the role of Madonna with an avatar representing Madonna had my eardrums and feet in beat as my eyes absorbed the dazzling visual performances. I cannot boast enough of how outstanding I found this concert completed with an invitation to the audience to move to the front to dance during the closing performance. While admission was free, there were tip jars to donate as little or as much as your could afford and would like to donate.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

There were also products to buy where 100% of Lindens collected going to Rainbow Railway Inc, including Madonna outfits and a special edition doll of Madonna. Each doll pack has one display doll and a doll for holding. There were also gifts available in the foyers. I’m happy to say that I bought an outfit, a doll pack and a guitar, as well as gifts of animated posters. To seek to help the victims of hate crimes, in this case, LGBTQI Chechens who desperately need our help is needed. They are in dire need of our help.
