Hidden Desires – Lesbian Resort/Lounge

Today’s article is about a destination in Second Life that I hold much bias for. It’s best that I get this disclaimer out of the way first so you know that I have great love this destination for women and transgender women. Somewhere that quickly became one of my places for seeking solitude or relax with other women without any pressure from anyone to have sex.

Created by Carla Putnam, Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort and D/s Lounge opened January 2014 on a full sim which has allowed this destination to grow and flourish over the years. I have no memory of when I first visited. There is a lot do here so let’s get started.

Hidden Desires is for real life women and transgender women.

Welcome to Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort. For first time visitors, I highly recommend starting at the main entry point where you will find all sorts of information through advertising and a pod car to ride. Do ride the pod car as it will take you on the grand tour with information in local chat where you will learn about what’s on offer.

At this teleport entry, you have walking access to a garden with tai chi, an outdoor lounge and inside the luxurious white house there is dance space, pool, exercise facilities and few other fun items. Then by foot or teleport system, travel around the edges of ground level to explore and enjoy beaches, wetlands, a beach house, waterfall, temp rez jet ski, floats to relax on, beach furniture to relax on, beautiful underwater plants, a horse stable and, well, come and explore. If you’re feeling impressed, we’ve only just started so grab yourself your favourite drink and explore Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort with me.

There are two groups you can join. One is Hidden Desires which is to be kept informed of events. This groups is free to join. The second group is Pony Mistress costing L$ to join. The benefit of joining Pony Mistress is that you will need to wear this group tag to access most facilities including sitting on furniture, bdsm equipment and others.

The main activity at Hidden Desires is music entertainment provided by live performers and dj’s. Live performers include Goddess Oksana and Midnight McCarty. DJ’s include Masie and Riot Grrrl. All events are for women only unless stated otherwise. Advertising will say when men are invited to attend to join us party. Men are asked to be respectful at events they are invited to attend by being polite and not hitting on women.

There are several dance venues throughout Hidden Desires. The main dance venue is Hidden Desires D/s Lounge. Here there are dance pads for couples and single or you can opt or either of two dance machines found near stairs for singles/couples or us your own dance as performers keep you dancing while enjoying the light show which changes from event to event. We get along well with other as we dance. Sometimes we’re dressed, semi naked or butt naked. Especially when DJ Masie stirs with her sexy voice talking to us between playing tracks to keep you wiggling at her Sexy Topless Tuesday for Masie event. Okay okay, I have a bias for Masie’s voice. *changes panties*

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Being a Femdom facility, there are facilities if you wish to use them. They are located at the D/s Lounge and two designated BDSM locations. One on a sky platform and one at main entry. Both are accessed by the teleport system. You will need to wear your Pony Mistress group tag to use these with the exemption at D/s Lounge.

At times you may come across a couple participating in D/s. Please respect their space and let them be unless invited to join in with them.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

There is also a sky platform for Alien/Tentacle roleplay. I have captured a few scenes which is easily done alone however this is sure to be much better when in D/s environment. I must say, that was the funnest bikini laser treatment I’ve ever had. I won’t mention the help by tentacle I had.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Another form of D/s at Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort is pony training. I received some pony training here under the steady hand of Elisandra. Photos above were taken a few years ago when I was being trained. I would return to training actually but oh my, so busy. I do miss my pony training and I’m sure you would enjoy it if you’re submissive. Contact Carla Putnam if you are interested in pony training.

I wrote about my pony training. You can read it by clicking Pony Girl 1 and Pony Girl 2.

A new addition to Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort is a gym where you can work out on exercise equipment and take a dip in the swimming pool or lay back at the swimming pool. Some exercise equipment have adult animations for a sweaty workout.

If you are fond of visual arts, there are two galleries to visit. The gallery on the right is a  multilevel gallery currently displaying ‘My Own Little World’. Art by, Karma Weymann. A teleport pad takes you up and down floor levels. Art Gallery displays visual arts from a combination of artists including Carla Putnam.

Both galleries are worth visiting if you appreciate visual arts. Go alone to chill or take a date, or a friend.

Also at Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort are other fun activities including ice skating throughout the year and a shooting range. There is a box to take a copy of a weapon to shoot your targets in first person.

There is so much to do at Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort. Of all women’s only destinations I visit, I visit here the most. It’s almost a second home to me.

So ladies, visit and explore Hidden Desires Lesbian Resort & D/s Lounge, Gym. You don’t have to be lesbian to visit, just female.

Bedstraw Project

There are so many amazing destinations in Second Life. Some of them stand out above the rest due to the exceptional people behind these destinations who pour their creative heart into what they do. Bedstraw Project is one such location where you wouldn’t believe how indepth this build is until you see it with your own eyes.

Claire_004Owner/Builder of Bedstraw Project, Claire(atomic.infinity)

Located at Bedstraw region(Mainland: HeteroCera Atoll) is the best rail set up I have come across in Second Life, among everything here that caters to players of GTFO, people who drive trains just to travel, boaters and explorers who like me, enjoy exploring locations we don’t know.

Bedstraw was once a sand box which was auctioned off by Linden Lab after a griefing issue. Claire purchased Bedstraw which expanded out from Amella where a railway GTFO was initially set up. With the purchase of Bedstraw, Claire was able to expand down to the sea and gave us a breathtaking destination for all of us to enjoy.

Talented at building, Claire builds trains, ships, most of what you see at Bedstraw Project and the rail system mentioned below.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Driving into Bedstraw from the main Linden road, you’re met with an integrated road/rail set up, an overhead bridge for train, GTFO across from Bedstraw with GTFO and a short road entry into Bedstraw. Thankfully there is a map on the road entry to help guide you around.

The roads are clear of unwanted obstacles and level which navigates you to the warehouse, Bedstraw Docks and Bedstraw Central where I parked my van. Drivers can also access Bedstraw via Route 5.

I parked my car at Bedstraw Central where  there is a diner, shop space for business to rent and a beautiful garden waiting to greet arrivals. I’m already feeling comfortably pleased.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Also located at the garden is a sign with a diagram of mainland rail networks and a teleport to quickly scout around Bedstraw. I highly recommend exploring on foot to gain an appreciation of Claire’s dedication to the region. Do take the teleport to the drag racing high in the sky.

Get The Freight Out or GTFO is a game that has been embraced across the grid. Bedstraw Project as well as Amella are both active GTFO points. Bedstraw Project’s GTFO is for shipping, trucks and trains.

If you would like to give GTFO a try, there is a vendor at Bedstraw Docks. Try the free hud before buying the full hud. You can also purchase Claire’s products. Infinity Freight and other products. There is a demo sign to rez a freight ship for five minutes at the dock.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Bedstraw Project’s rail system has a system unique to Second Life where you don’t steer your train by using your keyboard but the railway’s points system just like real life. When you approach dividing tracks, the green light indicates the direction the train will travel. Click the red light to change track direction if you need to travel in the other direction.

There are several platforms to use. You can also rent space to park your train if you wish. There is a five minute freight train demo available at Bedstraw Central on the same island as the tram. Click the demo sign for a train to rez.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

After you have gone on walkabout to see and experience what Bedstraw Project has to offer, pull out your swimmers and take the water rapids down to the waterfall. The staircase is located near the road entrance. Head down the stairs to pier and click on sign then choose how many people will be riding with you. Up to four people can ride together. One tube per person will rez. Go into mouse view and brace yourself for the ride of your life to the waterfall.

The tube won’t vanish the moment you stand, giving you ample time to stand and walk onto the pier where you can rest on any of the seats, rez a little boat and head out to sea or walk up the stairs to make you way back up. Or take the teleport.

Bedstraw Project is one destination you don’t want to miss no matter who are you. Drivers of Second Life also pass through here occasionally as well.

Visit Bedstraw Project. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovecraft & The Deep

They told me that I should never go to the deep because it was dangerous. Dangerous because something lived down there in the dark murky water of the deep where those who were lucky to return, weren’t.

But she called me. I could hear her voice calling to me in my sleep. Beckoning me to come to her as I heard her eerie yet sensual voice.

43345825204_44e7352d1a_z

So down I went. Deep into her chasm. And there I found her.

I found her emptiness that called me. Her nothing. Her everything.

I explored her chambers where upon of which I was drawn to and I sat. I sat on her furnishings as she claimed me.

I was hers just as she was mine and at that point I knew that I would never leave this room again as I sat as the Captain of my boat, writing my captain’s memoirs as I decayed to nothing.

She had claimed me on my path to madness.

Second Pride: This Is Me

June 1969 saw the Stonewall Riots(Manhattan, USA) which gave birth to the rise of rights for LGBTQI communities through global activism. It is for this reason America celebrates their Pride Month in June and we in Second Life also celebrate Pride in June, Second Life being American founded, owned and located.

second pride logo

Last year’s Second Pride was very exciting for me as it was my first virtual pride celebration to attend. It was like experiencing a reawakening of who I am.

There was the moment of love where a gay man broke down through all the built up guilt and abuse placed on him over the years. The biggest virtual group hug supported him offering all the love and support he had been denied all his life, I was reminded why I love my rainbow communities. And in days where there are Governments, political movements and some religious institutions pushing hard to bring back all of the bigotry long defeated, now is more important than ever to stand proudly together and say ‘This is me’.

2018’s Second Pride Event, ‘This is me’ is a celebration of community with monies raised to support The Trevor Project;

“Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.”

Moved! African Modern Arts & Apartheid Museum

Late last year I took you to African Modern Arts & Apartheid Museum with an impressive display of modern art from Africa and a museum on apartheid history of South Africa. Due to the sim closing, a new location was found for these two destinations that are now found on mainland(Horizons Celeste).

The African Modern Arts is the same set up as before and just as enjoyable to visit to look at art and relax. Directly across the road is the new Apartheid Museum which is in a different building that has increased its message of what it was like to live during the era of apartheid.

With separate entries for Whites and Non Whites, each passage way shows the different conditions of these two groups of people where white people have access to the comforts of shelter while non-white people had the confines of staying outside where they could not be seen.

This is an improvement worth visiting.

Sansara Touring with Z-Finest Adventures

When it comes to touring the grid to see what’s what in Second Life and learn about its features, one of the hardest sells is to convince someone to pay for a tour to see and learn about Second Life.

Why would you? Why would one pay when we can read about these things from information provided by Linden Lab? Right?

This is a point of view which I have long held so when I was offered the chance to experience one such tour, I jumped at the chance to see if my thoughts could be challenged.

I stand corrected.

Charley Johnson Tour Guide_003
Departing from Abbotts-Blacktip Historical Airport

Both tours I took departed from the Abbotts-Blacktip Historical Airport where I met with my tour guide, Charley Johnson for the Beanstalk and Bay City tours.

The first tour was the Beanstalk Tour which I found extremely interesting. I learned so much on this tour like how I didn’t know I could travel to the centre of the grid from my home by air and sea. And let’s not forget the final destination of the Beanstalk Tour, the beanstalk which I did not know was the first object built in Second Life and there it stands, tall and proud, open for all to hop up its leaves to the very top. If you can make it without splattering on the ground.

The second tour with Charley Johnson was the Bay City Tour explores interesting historic sites. Important sites of historical nature include Nexus Prime with a cyber punk theme located at Gibson and Bonifacio. This was once a busy location with tall buildings, shops, sewers and more.. This was one of the busiest regions in Second Life. The reason for the demise of Nexus Prime is provided by the tour guide.

With a flight over Bay City’s attractions pointed out as we flew over in a blimp at the right speed for the view to rez and take in the beauty of Bay City, I was fascinated to learn what I didn’t know about the community where I opened my coffee house, Cafe Sheree. Seeing the marina, unused tram tracks and a final destination including a short walk to Hairy Hippo Fun Land, ending with a ride on Loller Coaster.

Walking to Hairy Hippo Fun Land
Walking to Hairy Hippo Fun Land with my tour guide, Charley Johnson.

What do you need to know before you choose which tour to venture on?

Information from the Tour Guide on the Beanstalk Tour is by text while Bay City Tour is by mic. Please keep in mind that you do not need to talk. That’s your personal choice. The Tour Guide uses mic to talk throughout the Bay City Tour.

Up until now, I would never have considered paying for a tour of Second Life but Charley Johnson from Z-Finest Destinations has brought me around to saying that some tours are worth paying for and I would pay for this. I stand by my word on this by admitting that I have since gifted a single ticket to a dear friend of mine who loved exploring Second Life and learning new things.

You can purchase your ticket in Marketplace at the cost for L$250 for a single ticket or a 5 ticket package for L$1,000.

I highly recommend Z-Destination Adventures’ tours. Give it a go. It’s worth the Lindens.

Fiji Aviation Museum

If you are into Second Life aviation and maybe even aviation in our physical lives, then the new Fiji Aviation Museum located at Fiji Isle Airport is waiting, calling you to fly over and take your time to peruse this fantastic aviation.

entrance_002

How do you get to Fiji Aviation Museum?

With the exemption of the ever lazy but instant teleport, you can fly to Fiji Isle Airport. You arrive by landing at the runway at Maho Beach region where you taxi to Bancs Ferrari Isle region where you will find Fiji Airport’s terminal. All jets must immediately taxi to Ferrari Isle as Maho Beach is grass where only propeller aircraft are permitted to remain.

As you enter through the bunker, you find yourself walking through what feels like a corridor with doors separating your passage. As the sign advises, please turn your music stream on as there is a cycle of recordings of aviation history of war planes on display. I have sat and listened to what is very interesting historic accounts of war aviation.

Each aircraft has an information board to take a notecard with information on the plane they are placed. As an example, the note card for the JU87 Stuka has the following opening paragraph;

“The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, “dive bomber”) was a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, it first flew in 1935. The Ju 87 made its combat debut in 1937 with the Luftwaffe’s Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War and served the Axis forces in World War II.”

aviation display_002Gloster Meteor F.8 RAF

If you are right into aviation history, then you need to make your way to Fiji Aviation Museum owned and set up by, Jenny who also owns Fiji Isle Airport. With aircraft on display and historical accounts played in stream to revolve to keep Fiji Aviation Museum fresh, you really do need to visit and enjoy the dedication put in by Jenny.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Fiji Aviation Museum

The museum has a predominately ww2 theme but exhibits will change and special exhibition weeks throughout the year will see a variety of aircraft represented.
As this is a working collection aircraft and vehicles are not always found in the same place and is not by any means a definitive collection of available aircraft. Notecards are provided by each aircraft to give the history of its real life counterpart and who makes the SL version

Please turn on radio stream to hear a looped stream of documentaries and period music this will always reflect the general theme of exhibits and programmes will change regularly.
